The Museum is fully accredited under the Arts Council England Accreditation Scheme and as such has written policies governing all aspects of collections management.

Rationalisation and disposal forms an active part of Collections Development, as set out in the national Accreditation standard. Lists of objects currently proposed for disposal are available from the Museum on request.
